Mack Trucks New Zealand Launches Bold New Look for Super-Liner and Trident

Mack Truck’s two demanding haulage heroes, the Super-Liner and Trident have recently benefited from a retro-themed tough new facelift – a nod to the popular look from the past.

With the project driven for New Zealand and Australian customers, the facelift has several noticeable upgrades to both models. The new squared grill and the squared guards are the foundation of the classic look. The facelift also features quad 7-inch LED headlights for better nighttime visibility from the driver’s seat and new squared side vents add to the powerful new look.

This new look pays homage to the brand’s heritage of building tough trucks for tough conditions.

“This new look for Trident and Super-Liner really shows what Mack Trucks represent,” says Scott Holt General Manager MTD Ltd - for Mack Trucks New Zealand. “Mack has helped build this country, from construction and infrastructure to the legendary heavy haulage, logging and bulk haulage operations - that are the backbone of our transport sector today.”

“These trucks are a great example of what the Mack engineering team and our Brisbane based factory have been able to achieve,” continues Scott, “Our passionate customers appreciate the legendary Macks of the past, so we’ve delivered a new look to carry them forward. These new legends have now come to life and are setting the standard for Mack.”

The updated axle forward Trident features the 13 litre 535hp 1,920lb/ft MP8 powerplant with a choice of 12, 13 or 14-speed m-Drive transmissions. While the heavy haulage specialist - the Super-Liner sports the brawny 17 litre MP11 powerplant at horsepower ratings ranging from 600 to a class leading 780hp and a massive torque rating of 2,800 lb/ft.
